Collective Consciousness and TJP: Why We Refuse to Surrender
The real and omitted narrative of the 9-11 attacks is that Usama Bin Ladin, leader of Al Qaeda, posited that the preemptive strike on 9-11 was motivated by the agony and grief of the Palestinians. He specifically mentioned the US involvement in the Civil War in Lebanon during the 1980s. US and western chauvinists emphasize the beginning of Al Qaeda’s aggression against US interests in occurrences such as the attack on the USS Cole naval ship, bombing of a US embassy, and the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York. All of the aforementioned occurring around 2001. Nothing is mentioned of the Palestinians’ loss of lands and violence against them since the 1940s by the state of Israel with the Axis of Israel’s support. Worse, nothing is mentioned of the Shatila and Sabra massacres which Bin Ladin referenced. The two camps are Palestinian refugee camps.
